In recent years, Global South education efforts have focused on improving educational outcomes for girls and this work remains essential. At the same time, emerging evidence suggests that gender-blind education systems are failing boys, in different but consequential ways. This is not a zero-sum shift away from girls. Instead, it reveals a deeper systems failure, where gender-blind education systems are not supporting all learners effectively. This webinar brings together leading gender and education experts to examine what truly gender-transformative education should look like, one that enables both girls and boys to thrive. What we explore:
– Insights on research relating to boys’ educational underachievement, particularly in India, Kenya, and South Africa
– What a gender lens reveals about systemic drivers of learning gaps for both girls and boys
– Key action and next steps towards inclusive gender-transformative education to support girls and boys
Watch now for a sharing of the research insights and synthesis, which will be led by Dayoung Lee, Dalberg Partner and Global Education to Employment Practice Co-Lead, followed by a panel discussion.
