This year’s United Nations General Assembly and Climate Week NYC are being held at a crossroads. The agendas that such gatherings hope to drive have sharply shifted in the last year, both in terms of funding and focus. Organizations across the board need to pivot to protect agendas or drive new ones that help meet the moment. We look forward to assembling our colleagues, partners, and clients to help drive outcomes, translate thoughts from the page to the ground, and forge new partnerships to address pressing issues of this moment.

How will AI systems benefit communities most affected by climate change? How can we shape climate governance? How can we take education to some of the most disadvantaged people in the world? These are some of the questions driving us, and we’re looking forward to finding solutions and translating the conversations that we will have in New York into action.

The themes that will be amplified this year include:

AI4Good

The use-case of AI for impact continues to expand—from predicting health risks among disadvantaged communities to mapping climate vulnerabilities in an effort to direct smart investments. During UNGA, Dalberg will convene a roundtable bringing together global leaders on the frontlines of large-scale development challenges with those advancing cutting-edge AI technology.

Climate Governance

Dalberg is participating in a roundtable to explore ways to support those who are advancing climate governance policies and accelerating action to meet global climate targets.

Education

Dalberg is co-hosting a reception aimed at ascertaining innovative ways in which organizations can finance education projects.

Longevity

By reframing ageing as longevity, Dalberg is keen to show ageing as a time of opportunity rather than decline. The subject will be discussed at a roundtable co-hosted by Dalberg.

New Regions

Dalberg has recently forayed into the MENA region with its partners, hoping to carry out innovative work that addresses the region’s needs.

Regenerative Agriculture

A workshop co-hosted by Dalberg will focus on the financial coordination needs for regenerative agriculture transition in Kenya and Tanzania.

Women’s Leadership

At a discussion on women’s leadership, Dalberg will explore ways to provide opportunities to women-led enterprises, from the grassroots level to larger organizations, and create pathways that help them scale.
