Karen Rodriguez Ortega serves as an Associate Partner in Dalberg Advisors’ in our Americas Region, contributing her expertise to the firm’s global Finance & Investment, Infrastructure, and Latin America practices. With over 9 years of international management consulting experience, Karen specializes in blended finance mechanisms, and economic development in Latin America.

Before joining Dalberg, Karen led consulting endeavors at CrossBoundary and served as an Associate Partner at Bain and Company, where she was a member of the Financial Services and M&A practices. Her work primarily involved advising clients in the Energy and Financial Services sectors on strategy, organizational effectiveness, performance improvement, and transformation.

Karen’s recent engagements include designing catalytic capital collaboration mechanisms to attract private investment to impactful initiatives, identifying investment portfolios for economic development, gender, and climate resilience, supporting the design, structuring, and fundraising of blended finance funds, and devising alternative financing mechanisms for SMEs in Latin America.

Karen holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley – Haas School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia.
